AOCPMR is pleased to offer guidance to its resident members through the generosity of its attendings and fellows.

PART 1: FIND YOUR MENTOR: ATTENDING/FELLOW MENTORSHIP FOR RESIDENTS:
As we all know, students aren’t the only ones that have questions. AOCPMR attending and fellow members have graciously agreed to answer any questions residents have regarding fellowships, jobs, and the future after PM&R residency. Complete the application below to get started today.

PART 2: PAY IT BACK AND SERVE AS A MENTOR TO A MEDICAL STUDENT:
It’s understandable that medical students may have many questions about Physiatry as a specialty and as a potential residency. Having recently been in the shoes of a medical student, residents are uniquely capable of answering questions regarding the application process and factors to consider when choosing a residency. As resident members, we ask that you kindly serve as mentors to a handful of students each year- the time commitment is small but the impact is enormous! You have the unique knowledge to answer the types of questions medical students may have regarding the field of PM&R, its various aspects, the daily life of a resident, and the path to become one. When you are contacted by the College, remember what it was like to be a medical student, and become a mentor! Thank you in advance for your time and support! Residents at any level (PGY-II through IV) are encouraged to participate. The purpose of a resident mentor is to answer students’ questions from a resident perspective and direct students to appropriate resources for further career guidance information.
