A Welcome from the Resident Council President

Jacob Reisner, DO

The American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPMR) centers on promoting a collegial atmosphere where the ideas and experiences of both our allopathic and osteopathic members are highly valued. These passions continually shape our college allowing us to provide not only the best care to our patients but to become leaders within the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

As residents and fellows, we represent the future of our college and our field. Our resident council was created with this in mind in order to provide the tools and experiences that will allow our resident and fellow members to succeed both now and in their future careers. As an in-training member, you have access to a number of unique features created for your advancement including: an extensive mentorship network, a comprehensive PM&R specific fellowship database, Project Make-It-Happen (which provides funding for events at individual programs), and an OMT Video Series—to name a few.

It is with these tools and the support of our members that AOCPMR continues to challenge the status quo and shape the future of physical medicine and rehabilitation. As you begin your journey as a resident physician we would love to hear from you and help you in the pursuit of your passions.
