Exercise & Wellness Resources

As the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AOCPMR) celebrated its 70th Anniversary in 2024, we reflected on seven decades of leadership, service, and commitment to advancing the principles of osteopathic, patient-centered rehabilitation medicine. Under the presidency of Dr. Amir Mahajer, AOCPMR continues to expand its mission beyond traditional clinical care, emphasizing whole-person health, prevention, and long-term function. In alignment with this milestone year, the Ad Hoc Exercise and Wellness Committee was convened to further strengthen our dedication to wellness and lifestyle medicine as a core pillar of rehabilitation and longevity.

Through the focused efforts of this committee, AOCPMR has developed a comprehensive series of evidence-informed handouts that are available to our members and open to the public, and may be freely used by physicians and allied health professionals to support patient education and behavior change. These resources address key domains of health, including cardiovascular and resistance training, social connection, health nutrition, mindfulness, and optimization of sleep. Together, they reflect our shared goal not only to add life to years, but to add years to life. Sincere thanks to the Exercise and Wellness Ad Hoc Committee for their dedication and thoughtful work. We hope you find these documents valuable and practical in advancing the health, resilience, and quality of life of those we serve.

AOCPMR has also arranged through May 3, 2026, a free upgrade to HEP2Go Pro version for AOCPMR members. Find details here.
