Name: Troy Bushman
Undergraduate: Brigham Young University
Medical School: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine
Q: What first attracted you to Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation?
A: When I first came to medical school I was sure that orthopedic surgery was what I wanted to do. However, as I’ve gained additional exposure to other fields, I’ve found that I also enjoy the subjects of neurology and sports medicine. I was pleasantly surprised when last year I learned about PM&R. The PM&R specialty seems to encompass many, if not all, of the subjects I find most interesting. I’m excited at the prospect of a career in PM&R because it will allow me to pursue all of my interests at once.
Q: Why did you join AOCPMR?
A: I wanted to be more involved with PM&R and saw this as a great way to do that.
Q: What do you love about belonging to AOCPMR?
A: Getting to know a lot of good people.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I like to hang out with my wife and son.
