A: Fonthill, Ontario, Canada

Q: Where did you attend for your undergrad studies and what field(s) did you study?
A: McMaster University – Received an Honors Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology

 

Q: Why did you join AOCPMR?
A: I have always been interested in PM&R and the AOCPMR was an excellent way for me to network and meet other students interested in this specialty.

Q: What first attracted you to Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation?
A: I was treated by a physiatrist in college for my chronic back pain. That experience helped me realize my interest in PM&R. I love the amount of hands-on time I can have with my patients. Also my background in kinesiology helped drive my interest in this profession.

 

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Dance (have been a dancer since I was 2 years old), play soccer, volleyball, hike, ski, travel, and spend time with friends.

Q: What is one goal you have for AOCPMR in the coming year?
A: To continue to grow. I hope the AOCPMR continues to be an excellent organization to help medical students learn more about physical medicine and rehabilitation.
