Q:What is your hometown?
A: Boston, MA

Q: What first attracted you to Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation?
A: As a student at Midwestern University I was awarded the osteopathic manipulative medicine fellowship. During this fellowship, I gained a lot of experience with the musculoskeletal system and treatment options for musculoskeletal dysfunctions. I realized the best field to continue to learn about the neuro-musculoskeletal system would be through a residency in PM&R.

Q: Why did you choose your residency program?
A: I choose Boston University Medical Center because it has a great combination of both inpatient and outpatient rotations. It is the New England Regional Spinal Injury Center and busiest level 1 trauma center in Boston, so I knew I would receive a great training in inpatient rehabilitation. Also, on the outpatient side, since BUMC is such a large tertiary care hospital in Boston, it has all the cutting edge training in ultrasound guided injections, interventional pain procedures and orthotics/ prosthetics.

Most importantly it allowed me to be back in “Titletown USA,” with the best sports teams in the country!

Q: Why did you join AOCPMR?
A: I joined AOCPMR because it is the only professional society which represents my best interests as an osteopathic physiatrist. Also, the osteopathic family is still relatively small, so by joining AOCPMR I am able to network, learn from and become friends with some of the biggest name in our profession.

Q:What is one goal you have for AOCPMR in the coming year?
A: My main goal for this year is to demonstrate to our osteopathic PM&R residents the value of the AOCPMR, so to achieve 100% membership.
