Q: What is your hometown?
A: Shoreview, Minnesota

Q: What first attracted you to Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation?
A: I liked the variety of patients that you get to work with and I like that you help the patient reach the goals that they set.

Q: Why did you chose your residency program?
A: The University of Michigan has a well rounded program, seeing the classic inpatient cases(stroke, traumatic brain injury, multitrauma) and offering exposure to many areas that other residencies do not (spinal cord injury, burn, cancer, transplant rehab). The majority of the residency is spent in outpatient. Residents also are able to do spine procedures in addition to joint injections and EMGs. The research support is second to none and all the faculty are amazing. I also liked that the program has a family feel.

Q: Why did you join AOCPMR?
A: I wanted to remain connected to the osteopathic profession, especially within my specialty college. It allows me to give back to others and keep up with the latest in the field.

Q: What is one goal you have for AOCPMR in the coming year?
A: Increased participation of resident members.
