Q: What first attracted you to Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation?
A: My first experience with a physiatrist was in med school.  Dr Mike Andary was explaining the concept of checking reflexes and how it related to nerves, muscles and spinal cord segments.  I found it very satisfying to be able to use my hands-on Osteopathic training.

Q: Do you practice a specific specialty?
A:  My practice has evolved into primarily one of neurologic rehabilitation for traumatic and acquired brain injury.  I still maintain a healthy inpatient unit with strong neurology and neurosurgery referral base.

Q: Why did you join AOCPMR?
A: There is too many national agenda items to keep up with them all.  I need a network of physicians to keep up with the changing face of healthcare across the country.

Q: What do you love about belonging to AOCPMR?
A:There are a few doctors I only see at conventions and they are some of my best friends and closest peers.  I love to compare notes with them and see how our lives have shaped over the years.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A:  My best time is with my children who are now 10 and 12.  Golf keeps me outdoors for a few hours at a time and that feels healthy.
